The evening
Wander through fantastical worlds and exotic lands and refresh yourself with a musical splash of cool water.
The adventures of Peer Gynt take him from the mountains of Norway to faraway lands and back again. Grieg’s unforgettable melodies vividly illustrate the story of this charming, yet wayward, character.
Ideally suited to performing Bruch cherished concerto, Eldbjørg Hemsing brings her unmistakable passion, emotion and technical brilliance to its memorable melodies. There is a reason it is the composer’s most famous work.
The soundscapes of Finnish mythology inspired the dreamlike adventures of Sibelius’s roguish hero, Lemminkäinen. In Tuonela, the realm of the dead, a mystical swan glides majestically through the dark, still waters.
Sibelius described his enigmatic Sixth Symphony as ‘pure cold water’. Its evocation of a peaceful pine forest might just leave you feeling mysteriously zen.
